Design may be registered by filing a Declaration of Ownership for Design at the office of the Sub-registrar of Deeds and Assurances in Yangon and then followed by Cautionary Notice under section 18(f) of the Registration Act (1946). The registered Design Declaration of Ownership is considered as "registration".

[1] time limit

There is no time limit to file a Design Declaration claiming seniority in Myanmar. However, the Design Declaration claiming the seniority should be preferably filed no later than six [06] months counted from the priority date or before it is published in the worldwide according to the general international regulation for filing design application.
