Nguyen Viet Phu’s practice focuses on patent application and preparation with an emphasis in the Mechanical arts including patent drafting, patent drawings, patent searches, analysis, and provision of patent opinions. He specializes in handling patents in the Automobile and Motorcycle Industry as well as in Industrial Machinery.

Prior to joining ACTIP Patent Limited as Leader of the Mechanical Team, Mr. Phu spent six years as deputy Manager of the Department of Patent and Design at Ageless IP Attorneys & Consultants. His knowledge of and experience with patent issues related to the Automobile and Motorcycle Industry, as well as the Industrial Machinery market is extensive.

Mr. Phu obtained a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering in 2005 from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, and a Bachelor of Arts in English in 2011 from Hanoi Open University. He has successfully completed courses in the drafting of Patent Specifications organized by Vietnam’s National Office of Intellectual Property and Japan’s Patent Office in 2009, and an Intellectual Property Training Course by the Intellectual Property Training Institute in 2010.
